Historics and renovators. The re-foundation of the PSOE of Granada (1972-1975)

The Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (Partido Socialista Obrero Español, PSOE) underwent in the early 70s of the last century a profound internal restructuration. This process caused the split-up of veteran followers of Rodolfo Llopis, and, among them, the Granada's Socialist Federation (Federación Socialista de Granada). Therefore, a complete rebuild from the ground up of the Granada socialist group was made. Most of the new affiliates were linked to the University, either as professors or students. Both groups, the historic members and the renovators, walked parallel paths during the last years of General Franco's dictatorship until a final convergence and reunification in 1976.
