The name of al-Bayyāzīn in the islamic grenada. When appears in medieval arab texts?

Abstract

There are continuous references to rabaḍ al-Bayyāzīn (the suburb of the Albayzín) in a wide variety of studies of Granada in the Islamic period. However, in the present study we consider the exact moment in which this denomination of a suburb in Granada appeared in the Arabic texts. In this short work, we do a search through the texts and we find that this name does not appear until the Nasrid period in the first decades of the 14th century.
