Abstract

The city of Santa Fe is well known for its important role in the last years of the Granada War. It has been historically characterized as a heavily fortified emplacement, however few archaeological remains of the Real, its walls and towers, are known. In this research we show the findings of the Punctual Archaeological Intervention carried out in Calderón and Ronda de Belén streets, next to the Puerta de Jaén, and make a suggestion of how part of its defensive system could have been built.
