Ancient communications in the pre-Betic mountain range. About the Baza-Alcaraz itinerary

Abstract

This work aims to give an overview of an itinerary present in the cartography of the early 18th century between the towns of Baza (Granada) and Alcaraz (Albacete). The imprecise graphic representation and the null writ- ten references to this route make it very difficult to define the route of this road. However, these pages serve to present the documentation available to us at the time of this report, our proposed route and the interpretative possibilities opened up by the existence of this itinerary.
