Abstract

The purpose of this work is to approach two rural properties of the College of San Pablo of the Society of Jesus in Granada: the Santa Catalina estate and the Alboyar estate, belonging to the Partido del Temple. To do this, various sources will be used, with the «Catastro de Ensenada» being a notable one. Through the analysis of these properties in the Kingdom of Granada, the goal is, on one hand, to deepen our understan- ding of them, and on the other hand, to demonstrate the originality of the Jesuit production model, which was completely distinct from the pattern of agricultural exploitation in Andalusia during the Old Regime.
