Abstract

The right identification of the shield on the façade of the House of the Marchioness, former orchard of Darabenaz, allocated to Mendoza family so far, allows for knowing the owners identity for the Modern Age: the family of the «Varona de Alarcón» and then, of the «Castillejo». Other archival and journalistic sources provide with new information about the succession track of the building.
